For those of you who are all-too-keenly aware of the lack of decent programming on the public airwaves, and for those of you who are sick of 92.1 through 106.5 being some version of Kiss FM, I present to you, the next revolution in audible entertainment and information. Audioblogging! The concept is really simple, the blogger provides the show, and you subscribe to it, to listen in. The time shifting part comes in when you take a script like iPodder and have it automatically populate your iPod based on your subscriptions. Let me break it down for those of you getting a bit confused:

I wake up in the morning and there are all the shows that I like to listen to, filled with the content that I like, sitting on my iPod, waiting for me to listen to them whenever I want. Pretty darn neat.

For those of you getting started, like I am, let me recommend the following broadcasts:

. Adam Curry’s Daily Sourcecode
. Dave Slusher’s Evil Genius Chronicles
. IT Conversations

I listened to an “episode” of each of these today, and I am glad to report they are all very intersting, informative, and entertaining, and sometimes all three ;) I’m looking forward to continued, free, personalized audio subscriptions.

In other news, I think I am developing carpal tunnel. The symptoms started only two days ago, so I am going to try to correct any posture problems and keep an eye on it for a bit before I seek any medical attention. I suppose this is brought on from working a few longer hours in the past couple weeks. Our product is supposed to go beta pretty soon, so most of us have been working our tails off. More to come on that later.

For now, I’ve been listening to a new band called The Arcade Fire, who’s just relased an album called Funeral. It’s a serious adventure through musical and lyrical transparency; an intriguing acoustic blend of modesty, simplicity, and design. Blah, anyway. I think it’s good stuff ;)
