Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to visit Pickwick and Frolic along with a group of OnBase users and resellers who were in town for a training class. I must say I was thrilled to hear the positive impressions folks were giving me about our product.

Perry, an OnBase administrator at a food processing company in Illinois, told me that one of their VPs was floored with how much easier it made his job. Gary from Integra Information Tehcnologies had a great idea about how to make the user interface for creating keyword data sets much easier, and I absolutely agreed with him. I filled out a software change request this morning! Matt from eDocument Resources has been a reseller of our product for much longer than I’ve been working on it. He ensured me that OnBase “pays for itself!” Nice. He told me one of his number one requests from his resellers is an in-depth comparison of features between our thick and thin clients. I wasn’t sure that we maintained a document with that information, but if people are making purchasing decisions with that level of granularity in mind, it would seem that this information would be quite valuable for us to collect and act upon. We also talked about our SAP integration module, and how image-enabling SAP data makes CRM so much easier—to the point where some of the effort involved with adding data in SAP, otherwise available on the document image in OnBase, becomes less valuable.

There were also comedians, magicians, free (well, subsidized!) food and drinks. But really, I had a much better time frolicking with some of the folks that use our product.
